Lake Hawea 3 Seasons

Winter

A snowy chilled ice covered lake much like the antarctic. White and light blue frosty lake and a frozen winter smell. White fluffy snow all around it feels like people are setting up for Christmas. The quite and calm steady chirps of the bluebirds, bellbirds and cascades singing to their own melodies. The quiet brushing sound of the oak and birch trees, as they are shimmering in the soft wintry wind. It’s the middle of winter and the snow has fallen the people are tramping through the cold and fluffy snowy forest. There are others ice skating on the frozen lake. But one person, ice skating the fastest, that person was going up and down the lake like they were a jet plane flying through the air. That person was speeding nearly as fast as the cars just beside them driving on the highway. I was just watching as all of nature took its course, through nature in the winter like as if I had seen it for the first time.

Spring

A slow and smooth lake with the trees blooming and bursting with flowers and leaves, spreading all round. Shades of orange, red and yellow glistening on the leaves these bright colours littering the forest. The smells of honey and pollen flying in the air with the feeling of the woodland vegetation blooming as the morning sun rises. That new spring feeling the taste bouncing on the tongue. The light bursting and rising through and the luscious trees and bush sounds much like cars rushing past on the highway. All the birds singing for another season of spring is here. People embracing the new start of spring as it comes upon them. A hare raising its head looking at its surrounding area, scouring for any sort of danger in the area. But the creatures of the forest relish in this new spring and nature taking it at a slow and steady pace.

Summer
It was a blazing hot day. The lake was steaming because of the scorching heat on the chilled still water. Red, yellow and a bright orange sun glowing onto the new lush green grass and trees. I'm breathing through my nose clearly now from the fresh smell of summer. The extremely hot weather heating up my tongue from inside my mouth and the sizzling sun doing the same thing with the depleted looking lake. The few people that are around the lake slip, slop and slapping on their sunscreen, they are slowly sinking into the lake to cool off. The sounds get quieter or am I just getting too far away from the lake. A cow cooling itself down from the scorching heat and the others followed down as they come off from the luscious grass across the field. The summer breeze came by more cows as they strolled and followed the rest of the herd. Getting hotter by the second as time goes by everyone is cooling off. THhe forest animals, the insects all cooling off from the blistering hot sun.
